About Marisol

I began making bags more than 50 years ago in Florence, with leather spread across the table and my grandmother guiding my hands. She taught me to take my time, to finish every detail with care, and to send a bag out into the world only when I was proud to put my name to it.

Those lessons have stayed with me through a lifetime of making.

Now, as I prepare to close Marisol Bags, I’m offering up to 80% off my final leather collection. These are the last bags I will make under this name, and once this collection is gone, there will be no more.

How are your bags made?

Each bag is woven by hand by Marisol, one at a time. Because of that, small differences in the weave, colour and shape are part of the piece, and no two bags are exactly alike.

What are the bags made of?

Natural straw and plant fibres. You'll find the details for each bag in its description and under Materials & care.

How should I care for my straw bag?

Keep it dry and away from long sun exposure. Wipe it gently with a dry, soft cloth, and store it stuffed with paper so it keeps its shape.

How long does shipping take?
